Internet data mining firm Netcraft have released the results of their February Web Server Survey and it shows that the Internet is continuing its strong pattern of growth, adding 2.6 million hostnames (+1.7%) this month. The results also show a resurgence for Apache as they reclaim 0.3% of the web server market share from Microsoft’s IIS and Google’s GFE.

A common technique employed by spammers to send large quantities of email is through the use of unsecured web forms like contact forms. The vulnerability they exploit is a form of Header Injection. MosaicA fantastic Mosaic effect that can be achieved with Photoshop. In this tutorial you will learn how to create a mosaic from a photo and then fade between your photo and the mosaic to achieve a really great looking transition that can be used on headers or other web graphics.

I used CS3 for this tutorial but the method can be replicated in lower versions.

As a relatively recent Mac convert I had one of those ‘Well how do you do that then?’ moments today when I wanted to write an ISO file CD. As a past user of disc burning software on Windows, I expected to find a ‘Burn Image to Disc’ option either by right-clicking on the file or in the ‘Burn CD’ dialog, but no such option exists. I then went to the Disk Utility in OS X in search of more options, but again, no mention of writing ISO images to disc and, rather confusingly, the ‘Burn’ option is disabled when you select your blank disc from the list. So just how do you do it?

Jon Lech Johansen, the guy who made a name for himself by cracking DRM protection on DVD’s and for reverse engineering the iTunes FairPlay system, has yet again made headlines with a piece of software released by his Company DoubleTwist.

The program, which allows users to share digital media files across multiple devices, breaks the Apple iTunes DRM copy protection allowing files purchased from the iTunes music store to be played on music players other than the iPod.
